The Oakleaf Franchise

Oakleaf Reproductions Ltd was formed in 1969 by Ben Banister, to manufacture simulated wood mouldings of the highest quality. From the reproduction oak beams produced at the outset, we now manufacture an extensive range of period reproductions, each an accurate, hand-stained copy of an antique or otherwise attractive original.

Whilst the company was created principally to supply the contract and commercial interiors sector via design professionals, our new franchise has been created to serve the home interiors market more effectively, where demand for our products has been increasing steadily year on year, traditional wall panelling and reproduction oak beams, in particular.

It is acknowledged that our products have to be 'seen to be believed', so it is crucial that national enquiries are served by local design consultants who are able to visit with samples, and assist with design and organise installation. Our aim is to establish the national sales network we require through the franchise system, each franchisee being in effect an extension of our family business.

Having launched the franchise at the National Franchise Exhibition in October 2001, and with our newly appointed franchisees achieving more than double the sales performance levels forecast, we are delighted and encouraged by the progress we have made so far.

The network now comprises 12 franchisees, each recognising the special features provided by our unique offer and choosing to join at an early stage. Immediately following their induction training, they have been able to establish themselves quickly within their exclusive territories with the help of a local PR campaign, and a stock of recent sales leads.

We are currently interviewing candidates who are self-motivated, who have an interest in interior design, and who wish to join our rapidly developing network. New franchisees receive comprehensive training, national and locally generated sales leads, full Head Office back-up and support, and the capacity to supply our unique, high-margin, multi-functional product range within their own exclusive territory.
